I'm posting a few of the orchids that I photographed this past Monday at the National Botanic Garden. Being surrounded by these flowers in all shapes, sizes, and colors is a sight of elegant splendor.
I wish I could identify the names of each orchid. I could have taken a shot of the nameplate since it's a digital camera and film is virtually endless. But I also didn't realize until much later that my camera had a voice memo function. I suppose that could've been an easy remedy as well. As Homer Simpson was fond of saying, "DOH!"
KINDA' SORTA' FAMOUS?: I am happy to inform you that my shot of the glass canopy of Kogod Courtyard was featured as a banner for the blog of the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery called Face to Face.
