Fifth in a series of six.
The apartment complex in the foreground is across the street and the strike appears to be just behind it.
KINDA' SORTA' FAMOUS?: I am happy to inform you that my shot of the glass canopy of Kogod Courtyard was featured as a banner for the blog of the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery called Face to Face.

Awesome lightning shot. I keep trying but I am not having much luck!

@Helen: Hang in there! It really is part planning, part luck, and a bit of global warming too. On the one hand, it is frustrating to set up your camera and find where lightning will strike. On the other hand, I can't recall the last time these storms were this dramatic and frequent thus anticipating lightning is a bit easier ... and alarming at how close they can get.
Colour tones are impressive! How it seems to hit that building is almost scary.

@Vincent: Yes it's really hard to tell where the strike landed but I know that I was in the center of the storm. And it was damn loud! =D
Spectacular.
