I also came by The Newseum, a museum dedicated to the newspaper which will officially open on April 11th. It's a massive eye catching construction of metal grates, glass panels, and steel. It's not easy to describe. Maybe mashup? On the face of the museum are the words of the First Amendment and it looks to be carved in stone. On the ground level in front are the day's front page headlines of newspapers from around the world in which you can stand and read. It was generally a nice sunny day but I did manage to catch a few clouds off the glass walls of the museum for this shot.
12/24/08: Grading is done. I'm packed and ready to go. I'll be off for vacation in San Francisco for a few days with family and friends. Happy holidays everyone!
KINDA' SORTA' FAMOUS?: I am happy to inform you that my shot of the glass canopy of Kogod Courtyard was featured as a banner for the blog of the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery called Face to Face.
